This is the Privacy Policy of the PaintScout website: app.paintscout.com, and any successor websites (together, the “Site”), operated by Tapristocrat Inc. (together with our affiliates and any future affiliates or subsidiaries, “PaintScout,” “we,” “us,” “our,” and terms of similar meaning) and our related products and services. It describes the information that we collect from you as part of the normal operation of our Site, and how we disclose and secure this information. In this Privacy Policy, we use the following terms to describe different types of visitors to our Site. Our customers are called “Subscribers” and our Subscribers’ customers are called “Customers.” We use the word “staff” to describe persons to whom Subscribers give “staff” access on the Site. Together with registered users of our forum or other interactive areas of the Site, these people are collectively described in this Privacy Policy as “Users” of our Site.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information from you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our service to make your experience safer and easier. For example, if you are a Subscriber, you can enter personal information about your Customers or your staff.You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to become a User or by not using the particular feature of the Site for which the information is being collected.
3. Our Disclosure of Your Information
If you choose to connect your Google account to PaintScout in order to use our calendar features, we will request access to specific Google user data via the Google API. With your explicit consent, PaintScout accesses your Google account name, email address, and calendar data, including the ability to view, create, edit, and delete events within your Google Calendars. This access is used solely for the purpose of providing features that integrate with your Google Calendar, such as scheduling and syncing events. We do not share your Google Calendar data with any third parties and use it only as necessary to support your use of the PaintScout platform. You may revoke access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings or within the PaintScout application.
4. Aggregated Data
If you are a Subscriber, we collect your credit card information for billing purposes.
Some of our pages utilize framing techniques to serve content to from our partners while preserving the look and feel of our site. Please be aware that you are providing your personal information to these third parties and not to paintscout.com.
5. Forum
We also automatically track certain information about you based upon your behavior on our Site and store it through log files. We use this information to do internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go, your computer browser information, and your IP address. We may provide Customers’ IP addresses to payment intermediaries in the course of the payment process.
6. Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Service Providers
Technologies such as: cookies and similar technologies are used by PaintScout and our partners (e.g., advertising, marketing and analytics), affiliates, or other service providers. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries and unrelated service providers in the operation of the Site, and may disclose personal information to them in the course of our use of their services. For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Site. This may involve the hosting of data, including personal information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. Referral features may collect friend contact details for one-time invitations. Friends may request removal at info@paintscout.com.

Due to the interconnected nature of PaintScout’s business network, certain records such as invoices and estimates cannot be fully deleted. When accounts are closed, marketing and billing communications are discontinued.

Information is retained as long as accounts remain active and as required for legal, operational, and dispute resolution purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is excluded from sharing.
14. Additional Policy Information
Users may invite collaborators by importing contacts. Third-party integrations operate under separate agreements and privacy policies. Testimonials may be displayed with consent and removed upon request. Social media features may collect IP and usage data governed by third-party policies.
